Learn the skills and gain the confidence to provide advanced First Aid in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, workplace, community and legal considerations. Learn how to assess the casualty, contact emergency services, ensure safety and use resources such as an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) for both infants and adult CPR.
This course covers basic First Aid and CPR together with specific treatments for advanced conditions such as hyperthermia, hypothermia, life-threatening bleeding, severe injuries and shock. You'll also learn how to record the casualty's condition, completed workplace incident documentation and debrief to receognise areas for improvement,

Blended/Refresher Training - 6-7 hours
Face-to-face assessment following online study - 1 hour
Pre-Requisite/Assessment Requirements
Students must be able to perform 2 minutes of unassisted CPR on the floor - a mat will be provided.
For online study students must also have access to a computer, smart phone or tablet to complete the online study &/or pre-course work.
Assessment
You will be required to complete a combination of practical and written assessment tasks.
